The maintenance workers recreated four iconic pictures to present what they do for their city
The famous Abbey Road crossing, Iwo Jima flag raising, or lunch at the Empire State Building. There are a few pictures around the world that have managed to gain fame and remain iconic for generations.
Recently, a group of Prague’s maintenance workers got inspired by these photographs and while combining their hard work with fun, they have tried to recreate them in their own way.
And needed to say, it was a real success. Their pictures are now shared across Czech media and social media platforms.
To enrich their social media accounts with hilarious posts was actually the reason why Prague’s maintenance services decided to come up with this project. However, according to the services’ spokesperson, Radim Mana, the whole idea was a result of a mere coincidence.
Prague services wanted to present their activities in a humorous way
“Last year, we had the winter maintenance of Prague’s quarter Žižkov documented for our own purposes. When we went through the photos, we came across a picture of our employees walking behind each other over a road crossing. The analogy with the famous Abbey Road picture was apparent and it would be a marketing sin not to use it on our social media with a humorous text,” Mana said.
Mana added that the Prague services aim to use interesting content on their social media to present their services, people, and overall complex activities to the public.
“Considering the interesting efficiency of the post, as well as the overall positive feedback from our fans, we came up with an idea to recreate other historic and world-famous photos.”
“We chose appropriate iconic pictures, evaluated production possibilities, and most importantly, secured willing employees. They were very helpful and we would like to thank them very much.
